Midnight Founders Podcast Season One Recap With Hosts: A.J. Rounds and Jake McHargue

It’s a wrap for season 1. This week we do a quick recap of our first season. We talked about the lessons we learned, stories we heard, and incredible founders we were able to meet this year. Dan Roberts - Savvi Legal

This week's episode is a conversation with Dan Roberts. He was working for a corporate law firm and saw a need for a software platform to help automate some of the standard transactions for startups. he looked around and couldnt find a solution that he liked so he decided to build it. It was fun to hear their founder story and the lessons they have learned along the way. Dave Bullock - Proactive Health

We had a great conversation with Dave about the company they are building. His cofounder was fortunate to survive a mountain biking accident, after a miraculous recovery he had the idea to use biometric data to help seniors be more proactive about their health. Dave talked about balancing joining the startup while keeping his full time job and the crucial decision on when to jump over and commit to proactive health full time. Chad Pollard - Wasatch BioLabs

This was an enlightening conversation with Chad, His midnight founder moment was waking up in the middle of the night with the idea that there was a way to diagnose neurodegenerative diseases really early on. He has been able to surround himself with experts to help him accomplish that goal. This was an amazing conversation, We are excited to see Wasatch Bio Labs change the world. 

Sabrina Gardner - Salt by Sabrina

This weeks episode is a great conversation with Sabrina Gardner. Sabrina moved into a new home during Covid and realized that there were not great solutions for custom sized drawer organization, so she decided to take the leap and create the solution on her own. #nomorejunkdrawers

Nicole Tanner - Swig

Nicole was such a great guest. She talked about the importance of picking the right partners and not jumping into partnerships too early. She talked about not forcing decisions if it doesn’t feel right, they waited to franchise after spending a lot of money to set it up and had to walk away from that big investment because they were not ready to take that step. Mike Glauser - Executive Director - Center of Entrepreneurship at Utah State University

This weeks episode was a great one, it was fun to chat with Mike about his decision to leave the classroom because he was teaching something he hadn’t done and he wanted to prove to himself he could do it. He was able to successfully build and scale a large company.  He talked about his new book One People, One Planet and the steps to increasing happiness in our lives. This weeks episode is a great conversation with Dan Davis from Stiry. He has some really fun stories about his work with Imagine Dragons and how his work with another client literally saved his life.
